» CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character NAME: ctsv (ICly, the character prefers it stylized as "ctsv" w/o any capitalization, but for the sake of writing clear prose I will probably be using Ctsv)
Character PULL-POINT: The very ~beginning~ of his canon, ie right when he gets all decisive on everyone's ass and decides that YES HE IS GOING TO GO QUESTING FOR ALL OF HIS OLD MEMORIES/SEEK VENGEANCE.
Character AGE: Technically like 1 years old. But he's based off the memories and life experiences of someone in their mid-20s, and therefore acts like it too.
Character ABILITIES:
He's a damn good swordfighter! Or at least, as good as someone who's two inches tall can be. Ambidextrous, fights with two swords like a huge show-off, etc.

He can summon crazy thorned rose stems/vines and control them, like so and so. However, he requires a sword to do this -- it's easiest when using his own swords, but he can do it with other swords, or sword-like objects (needles, toothpicks, anything that is long and stick-like and swishable, and sharp 'n pointy).

A whole lot of magical storybookish surrealistic shit goes on in his canon, and he'll carry some of those things along with him into Exsilium.

If he says his name aloud, it just comes out as GARBLED NOISE. He can write/type it out no problem though. Other people (from outside his canon) can say his name no problem though -- or, er, can try, kinda hard without vowels, BUT basically other people aren't affected by whatever keeps Ctsv from being able to say his name aloud.

He is haunted by this horrible ghost-monster thing named mrn. It's only really capable of possessing Ctsv for a few seconds and make him do weird shit like this. It can appear to other people briefly in an insubstantial spirit form, but can't really do anything to anyone other than Ctsv. And the worst it can do to Ctsv is to induce irrational fear, anxiety, and panic in him.

He possesses a little more strength than his tiny body really ought to, such that he might be able to lift a heavy textbook in times of EXTREME ADRENALINE.

He's a little bit gravity-defying -- while he can't fly, he's a little bit floaty in his movements; his jumps are sometimes more like drifts.

He can sometimes leap much longer distances than he ought to be able, and fall much greater heights without injury.

He also heals from most wounds very quickly, within a few hours, if not instantaneously, and is extremely (though not entirely) resilient to being crushed, squeezed, stepped upon, etc.

Character HISTORY:
Inhabitants of Ctsv's world are all cobbled together from the personality and life experiences of other people, from all sorts of worlds -- so they are created, rather than born in any biological fashion. Furthermore, everyone is created without the memories of their past self (or at least, without most of them).

Ctsv is a slight exception to the above, mostly because he is an asshole.

Ctsv was likewise created, but gained consciousness in the creation process a little earlier than intended. He then made a greedy grab for as many of his memories as he could and escaped with them before anyone knew any better. As a result, Ctsv recalls quite a bit more from his past life than most people -- though his memories are still extremely vague.

Most importantly, he remembers that someone very dear to him was unjustly murdered, and that he was never able to bring the murderer to justice. He remembers that his life was very unhappy and unfair. He remembers all manners of grievances, small and big alike. As a result of all of the above, Ctsv came into the world already holding a thousand grudges against a thousand unidentifiable blurry faces.

So where most people come into the world perplexed but amiable, Ctsv came into the world angry and dissatisfied.

Furthermore, Ctsv remembers just enough to make him hunger for more. So upon gaining independence and sentience, and after learning a little more about his world and gaining his footing, he immediately set off to quest for the remainder of his memories. The details. Names to put to faces. He hasn't a clue how he'll unlock those memories, but thinks he'll start by seeking out the representations of people he remembers from his previous life. Then he'll seek justice. Then he'll seek vengeance.

But ultimately, what Ctsv really seeks is the person that he lost -- and the happiness that he could never quite achieve in his last life.

So Ctsv spawned on Terminus. He spent a few days brooding and sorting through his memories and thoughts.

Then he headed into deep Terminus in order to obtain his swords -- by looking for a rosebush hidden deep in a mountain crevice, and forging his swords out of the stems.

After that was done, he stayed a few more days, or just long enough to get a rough map from another resident of Terminus. Then he booked it (illegally) to Anthem by building a makeshift raft and sailing it across the sea. He took his swords with him, which is the illegal part, because no weapons of any sort are allowed outside of Terminus except for very special cases.

He's just arrived on the west coast of Anthem when he gets pulled into Exsilium.

Character PERSONALITY:
To start with the bad right away: Ctsv is picky, hard to please, and liable to grow irritable when things are not exactly as he would like them. He expects people to obey his every command, and very rarely goes so far as to ask permission for anything. He is terribly shallow and vain, and very careful about his own appearance when possible. He is tetchy, cranky, irritable, angry, dismissive, and generally disagreeable.

He tends to shirk from introspection and self-examination. He finds, too often, that when he questions himself and his motives, he can't come up with an answer for anything -- can't reasonably justify his actions. This bothers him terribly, and he's found that the easiest way of dealing with it is to shrug it off and move on. Or, perhaps, blame it on the huge gaps in his memories. Something in my past made me this way; but since I don't remember it, I just won't question it.

Ctsv is also incredibly prideful. He is proud of specific things: of his swordsmanship, of his survival, of his existence, of what he perceives as a headstart and superiority to everyone else (in the form of his retained memories and personality). He will go to great lengths to preserve his sense of dignity. This means that the surest way to provoke Ctsv into making a rash and stupid decision is via humiliation.

As could be expected from both of the above, Ctsv can be stubborn about his behavior, his personality, and almost every aspect of himself. He is deeply rooted because he will not pause to question himself long enough to change, and he does not want to change. His personality has shifted little since his spawning/creation. He holds onto the vague beliefs and philosophies that he remembers holding, and is rigid and inflexible and set in stone about almost every aspect of his life. He absolutely refuses to relent, because to do so would be to admit that he was wrong, and to be wrong would be to lose face, and Ctsv hates being shamed.

He hates being shamed because he remembers hating that. He does many things because he remembers that's the way I always did things; he is desperate to reclaim the entirety of whoever he was before this new existence of his. So he clings desperately to every shred and scrap of his past that he has.

Despite Ctsv's generally unsavory personality, he does have a few good qualities about him. He is generally dependable in a fight, he is calm and level-headed when chaos strikes, and though he may whine endlessly about his circumstances, he is actually able to put up with and shoulder quite a bit of hardship. He is also very willing to offer help in small matters, and grant little favors, mostly because they do not cause him much trouble and they occupy his time with something potentially interesting to do.

And, underneath his unpleasantness, he is actually not a bad person. He's actually quite willing to make friends, and usually quick about it; Ctsv tends to take people at face-value, even when he tries not to, simply because Ctsv takes himself at face-value.

And brushing past all the disconnected pieces of his old self that he clings on to and shields himself behind, Ctsv has an innocent, almost child-like curiosity about his new existence, his new world, his surroundings and the people in them. Everything is new and wondrous to him -- he just does his best to ignore it, because he is afraid.

Ctsv is (without fully knowing it himself) terrified of change within himself. He's afraid of letting go of the memories he has, and of never finding the rest. He's scared that he'll lose who he once was. He thinks that in doing so, he'll never find the happiness that he sought before this existence, and has equated that to never being able to find happiness at all.

» EXSILIUM INFORMATION
Chosen WEAPON: He's chosen his voice (from his canon, obvs)! Mostly an on-the-spur decision, probably angry that he's apparently too small and tiny and quiet for anyone to notice him in this world. (If he thinks about it afterwards, he'll probably be sorry that he didn't choose his swords.)

Through its evolution, he'll be able to project his voice so that he'll be able to make himself heard more and more easily -- he'll be able to shout much louder than he normally would, then throw his voice to make it appear as if it's coming from elsewhere, then (slowly, with much effort) be able to speak telepathically.

Third PERSON:
Ctsv dodges in and out between people's feet, swearing up at them, occasionally dodging for cover. He's been here for all of ten minutes, and already doesn't like it. Everything is too big. They'd tried to give him some new belongings, but some of them were big enough to crush him -- so he'd just left them on the floor.

No time to think about that, though. Right now he is in serious danger of being stepped on. There has got to be an easier way to travel across this room--

He starts looking more closely at the feet churning all around him. Ctsv does a little dance off to one side as he searches, and eventually sees something that might work. He makes sure his swords are securely fastened to his built, grinds his teeth together, and makes a sprint for it -- one hop across a boot, a dangerous skid underneath a falling sole, and then success. He's managed to dive into the rolled up cuff of someone's jeans.

Ctsv looks up, to make sure he hasn't been noticed. He knows that he'll have to alert these giants to his presence eventually, and knows that it'll probably be much easier for him if he does... but he's far too overwhelmed by this new place to even think about that right now. He doesn't want to talk to anyone yet. Not until he finds out more about where he is, and how he got here.

Somehow, he doesn't think that he's going to find any familiar faces here. He doesn't think he'll find out anything about himself, about who he once was, about the empty, aching gaps in his memories and in his life. He doesn't think he'll find anything at all in this place -- perhaps not even a way out.

In short, Ctsv is already starting to feel very alone, and very trapped.

» ADDITIONAL NOTES
Ctsv's canon is storybook-like and extremely surrealistic. This surrealism affects his life in the ways described up in Abilities, but kinda stretches to his appearance too: ie, Ctsv is literally a 2-inch tall almost-stick-figure. He looks rather like this (art courtesy of [tumblr.com profile] idiacanthidae). Only other thing of note there is that while his art and icons will (likely) stylize him w/o a mouth, in reality he totally has one. THIS BABY HAS GOT TO EAT SOMEHOW.
